Meet The Team

Brigitte is a Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) who provides exceptional patient care as a dental hygienist committed to excellence in patient care, preventative treatment, and creating a positive dental experience. She attended Arkansas State University and earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Meridian, MS. In her free time, she enjoys exercising, traveling, reading, watching sports and spending quality time with her family, including their rescue dog named Abbey, who was graciously adopted from a patient at the practice.

Shalena is a committed Registered Dental Hygienist with a passion for helping patients achieve and maintain healthy, confident smiles. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Biology from Arkansas State University before completing her Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. Since 2010, Shalena has been a member of Troy Bartels, DDS. She believes that empowering patients with knowledge is the key to long-term oral health and takes pride in making each visit both comfortable and informative. Outside the office, Shalena enjoys spending time with her husband, Brandon, and their two children, Claira and Bennett. Whether she’s outdoors or cheering from the sidelines at her kids; sporting events, she loves being active and involved in family life.

Danielle has been in the dental field since 2019 and became a Registered Dental Hygienist in 2023. She earned her Associate of Applied Science degree from Concorde Career College and is passionate about providing high-quality patient care. Danielle takes pride in educating her patients on the importance of maintaining optimal oral health and helping them feel confident in their smiles. In addition to her role in hygiene, Danielle is trained in multiple areas of the office, making her a versatile and valuable team player who is always willing to help wherever needed. Outside of the office, Danielle enjoys spending quality time with her husband and their dog, Ellie. She loves relaxing with her favorite shows and looks forward to traveling and taking vacations whenever she can.

Mica is a Registered Dental Hygienist with more than 20 years of experience. She graduated from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and has spent her entire career serving patients in Northeast Arkansas, the place she proudly calls home. Outside the office, Mica’s faith and family are the foundation of her life. She has been married to her high school sweetheart for 30 years, and together they have two grown children. She is also excited to soon welcome her first grandchild. Mica enjoys reading, sewing, and spending time around horses.

Lisbet is a registered dental assistant at Troy Bartels Family Dentistry. She graduated from Arkansas State University with a Bachelor of Science degree and a minor in Spanish. Although she is new to dentistry, Lisbet is excited to start her career in the dental field next to this amazing team. Lisbet is young and eager to learn while being committed to providing a comfortable and positive experience for every patient. She takes pride in being hardworking, detail-oriented, and a supportive team player. Outside of work, Lisbet enjoys staying active, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.

Abby Battles is a Registered Dental Assistant who trained under Dr. Troy Bartels. Born and raised in Jonesboro, Arkansas, Abby is a graduate of Brookland High School and is continuing her education at ASU-Newport. She is passionate about providing compassionate, high-quality patient care and enjoys making her co-workers laugh. Outside the office, Abby loves spending time with her family, staying active at the gym, and powerlifting. Her dedication, strong work ethic, and commitment to personal and professional growth make her a valued member of the dental team.

Kyleigh Brown is a Registered Dental Assistant who is beginning her journey in dentistry at Dr. Troy Bartels’ office. Born and raised in Trumann, Arkansas, she graduated from Bay High School and is excited to continue learning and growing alongside an exceptional team. Kyleigh is passionate about providing quality patient care and strives to help every patient leave the office with a healthy, confident smile. Outside of the office, she enjoys spending time with her family, relaxing at the lake, and taking car rides with her miniature dachshund, Obie.

With over 25 years of experience in the dental field, Mackenzie began her career in 1999 and quickly discovered a passion for patient care. From 2002 to 2021, she worked as a pediatric dental assistant, where she had the privilege of helping children feel comfortable and confident in the dental chair. After many rewarding years in clinical care, she transitioned to the front office hygiene coordinator, gaining valuable experience in scheduling, patient communication, and overall office flow. Today, Mackenzie proudly serves as Office Manager, where she focuses on supporting her team, creating a positive patient experience, and ensuring the office runs smoothly each day. Outside the office, Mackenzie has been happily married to her husband, Jeff, since 2000. She has two wonderful sons, one amazing granddaughter who keeps her smiling and a grandson on the way. She cherishes time spent with her family and, in her spare time, enjoys crafting and relaxing with a good binge-worthy series.

Ashley has worked in the administrative field for nearly 20 years and serves as our patient coordinator. She is often the first smiling face you see when you walk into our office and is dedicated to making every patient feel welcomed and cared for. Ashley and her family relocated here from Colorado and will hold the mountains forever in her heart. The family is ready to call this community home while exploring the local forest. She brings with her years of experience, organization, and a genuine passion for helping others. She enjoys spending quality time with her family, gardening, baking, and hiking. While she may not be assisting patients chairside, she plays an essential role in ensuring each visit runs smoothly and efficiently.

David is an experienced Insurance Coordinator with over six years of expertise in managing and streamlining dental insurance processes. He plays a vital role in ensuring claims are handled accurately and efficiently, verifying active coverage, and guiding cases through each stage of the insurance cycle. David is known for his attention to detail and commitment to accuracy, consistently putting in maximum effort to minimize errors and create a smooth, stress-free experience for both patients and the dental team. His focus on organization and efficiency helps keep the insurance side of the practice running seamlessly. Outside of the office, David enjoys spending quiet, quality time with his family.
